The GoGig Story
While GoGig Internet may be new to some around Blacksburg, it's been an invaluable tool within the downtown business community for over three years. Here's a quick story about how the idea became a reality.
After spending three months in Chattanooga, TN, with access to gig fiber powered internet, Bob Summers and his small team returned to Blacksburg with the realization that this type of service belonged in Blacksburg. Leveraging the excitement of his team members and the few others he shared the idea with, Bob launched a Tilt campaign to crowdfund the resources necessary to get the project off the ground. The campaign was a resounding success with 12 sponsors and 84 individuals committing the funds to launch Blacksburg Gig as a pilot project.

The pilot project has steadily grown over the last three years into what is now GoGig, In that time here's a glimpse at the impact GoGig has had on the community:
